Rise In Staffing Jobs In November

The latest job numbers released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics indicate that temporary employment increased 2.9 percent, seasonally adjusted, from October to November.

The 52,000 temporary jobs added in November was the largest monthly gain since October 2004, according to the American Staffing Association.

Despite the rise in staffing jobs, industry employment remains 12.5 percent below that of the same period last year, the ASA said.

The national unemployment rate fell to 10 percent in November. That is down from 10.2 percent in October, when the economy lost a total of 190,000 jobs, the U.S. Department of Labor reported.

In Ohio, the unemployment rate reached 10.5 percent in October, above the national rate of 10.2 percent for the month.
